    i assume the "input lag" is the time between the start of the movement and the first registered "pixel" or "dot" of the sensor. thats probably why the faster solenoid setting reduced the latency in lower dpi setting, because the first pixel would be registered by the sensor earlier

    Thank you very much tech bro, for your incredible eyes opening videos! I'd really like to max out my inpur lag in terms of Tekken 8 online. I play on a 5800X3D & 4090 using DLSS Quality. I get clean 60 FPS and 55 low FPS. I've already set settings for low latency at BIOS, RAM OC and various Nvidia settings like uktra low latency and v-sync off for best possible input lag. But i think I I'm not finished yet and there are even more factors you can tell me. Please help me with that game, what already runs incredible. Playing Jack 8 on high rank level (now Tekken King) is very important for me. And I hope I can improve my system & my skills so far that I get Tekken God this year.

    I always wondered this. Saw this so moved mine from 800 with high windows speed. To high DPS and lower speed. Found a WEIRD thing with some games :D With top down iso games, where you use wheel/middle mouse and drag to rotate the camera, it treats it with full speed! Ignoring the windows speed haha it just is raw DPI value, i never knew that!

    I have a 4080s and should i cap My fps with a 280hz monitor i get over 350-400 fps in most games. Should i cap my fps to 280 to lower input delay?

    • @She1lby
      @She1lby 7 дней назад

      Looks like input lag will decrease, but this video is not taking into account time for the next frame. In your 350 fps case it will make fps every ~2.857 ms, on 280 fps it will make it in ~3.57 ms. So you will see everything ~0.7 ms faster which is not that much. Best thing seems to be limiting your fps to 350 to get lower input.

    Hi This is a wonderful video! However, I want to assign specific drive letters to each of my removable HDDs. I tried to enter pairs of lines like this: DeviceID= <ID copied from Disk Management> Letters=<Drive letter> I repeated these lines for each disk. But now USBDLM mounts the disks in the same order that I defined in the text, and assigns the drive letter in that order. For example, my first HDD always gets G, the second gets E, and so on. It does not check for the DeviceID at all. What should I do? The help does not cover this use case.

    So I have a 4090 and 10850k, when playing Fortnite with RTSS cap I still get occasional frame time spikes. Both CPU and GPU never go over 40% utilization. So what could be causing these spikes, is FPS or frame delivery contingent upon net code or Internet performance? Such as if there is packet loss or ping spikes will that cause frame time spikes? Or M.2 read/write performance? RTSS has greatly helped, but I always love to learn and know the inner workings and causes.

    Hopefully someone can explain this to me. When using MSI AB with RTSS, when I display frame time, my system was getting terrible frame time spikes 60-100ms. Mainly play Fortnite. By capping my fps using RTSS (144hz monitor) capped to 140, this greatly reduced the spikes but they still occasionally occur. Can someone explain what causes frame time spikes and how to reduce or eliminate other than frame cap? When a spike occurs, the game freezes aka seems to hang. 10850k with rtx4090.

    Audio delay is an in engine settings, some engines allow you to modify it, like Unreal.

  • @sojiGG
    @sojiGG 23 дня назад

    This just isn't true lmao, dpi or (dots/counts per inch) is simply just how many points are read by the sensor, this is also why some people say that lower dpi feels more "stable" as opposed to higher dpi. Although in games that require tracking dpi between 800-3200 would be more preferable because tracking requires more counts due to the sporadic movement of enemies. Mouse Hertz is the factor that effects update frequency as higher hertz equates to a higher amount of updates from the mouse to the pc. Conclusion, dpi does not really matter all that much, but people that track/aim in planes that aren't horizontal like valorant or cs, would probably benefit from a higher dpi for games such as overwatch and apex.

    Incredible video. Here is some advise to gamers: don’t fall for the hype of ultra-high mouse polling rates (2000/4000/8000 Hz). It’s just the new marketable number, since no one cares about DPI anymore. Stick to 1000Hz or even 500Hz to save CPU cycles and mouse battery. It won't affect your gameplay at all. If you really want to reduce your input lag, improve your reaction time with a good sleeping schedule, good diet and exercise. Healthy habits can have a substantial impact in reducing your reaction time.

  • @snarkybark

    So inputs are sent to the server via netcode to drive game state, netcode sends data at 60hz, every client has its own FPS, and the physics engine always runs at 120hz. It's been said elsewhere that the game samples inputs at the FPS rate. But if netcode only sends input data to the server at 60hz, does the advantage of a higher input sample rate essentially go away? Or do the 60hz packets include two+ frames of input data?

    The case-by-case variance seems to have bigger differences than if a USB-hub is hooked up or not. So I guess the easy answer is no, a USB-hub does not add any (meaningful) latency if at all.
